Meet our Bethlehem team

Tamer aljafari

Palliative Care Co-ordinator Nurse

My name is Tamer Al-Jafari from Bethlehem, and I currently serve as a Palliative Care Coordinator Nurse at Bethlehem Care Hospice and Trust in Palestine. Furthermore, I hold the role of Clinical Instructor for Master’s students specializing in Oncology and Palliative Care Nursing at Bethlehem University. With credentials in Oncology and Palliative Care, including a High Diploma and an MSN in Nursing Management, I am honored to be the first Non-Medical Prescriber in Palliative Care from a nursing background in Palestine.

My involvement was instrumental in establishing the palliative care team at Augusta Victoria Hospital. Guided by unwavering moral integrity, I am committed to truth, compassion, respect, and advocacy. As a Registered Nurse, my goal is to effect positive change by supporting patients navigating life-threatening illnesses and leaving a meaningful impact on every individual I encounter, while striving to enhance nursing standards in Palestine.

I actively participate in esteemed professional organizations such as the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP), and International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care (IAHPC).

Tamer and his team of Palliative Care Nurses go above and beyond their duty bringing essential hospice care to the terminally-ill of Bethlehem, donate today and help them provide the medical care their patients need.
