St Patricks Passion Play a Great Success

St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Sheffield has been a steadfast advocate for extending care to Palestine, particularly through the establishment of Bethlehem’s first Hospice at Home Palliative Care Service – Bethlehem Care and Hospice Trust. In a heartwarming display of compassion, the KS2 children of St. Patrick’s staged a Passion Play on March 27th, 2024, raising a remarkable £94 for the Bethlehem Hospice.

Passion plays are medieval religious dramas about Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection. They typically include readings from the Gospel, poetry about Christ’s passion, and related events like Mary Magdalene’s life and the raising of Lazarus. Passion plays are very popular in schools during easter.

Their generous contribution will go towards purchasing vital medicines, ensuring that the most vulnerable individuals receive the comfort and relief they deserve. Thank you, St. Patrick’s children, for your invaluable support in making a difference in the lives of those in need.
