Fundraising – Outside of the box

I saw an advert for a company called Vintage Cash Cow. It collects all broken and unwanted items, including jewellery, old cameras, pewter, old watches, clocks etc. Will attach a letter from the company outlying the items they will take. It was so easy, I tided drawers with bits of stuff in them, then went round to my brother’s and sister-in-law’s house and did the same. I put them all in a cardboard box and wrapped some items in bubble wrap. The company sent me free postage labels or I could arrange for a company to collect the box directly from my house. After receiving the offer and accepting it (£165), the cheque was posted to me within three days.

The also have a separate department that deals directly with charities, I wrote to them to tell them that the cash was going to your charity and they sent me the email showing the arrangements they have for charities.

Thank you Ann, from everyone at the Trust.
