Walk With Us

Walk with us – a walk of love to bring Hospice Care where there is none.

In February our combined ages will be 156 years. We are walking 156Km to raise funds to establish the first Hospice in Bethlehem. Walk with us – even a short distance and help raise desperately needed funds to reduce pain and suffering.

We are working to establish the first Hospice providing palliative care in Bethlehem where Cancer is responsible for 1 in 4 deaths and in 3 out of every 4 cancer suffers are first diagnosed at stage 4 (Terminal). There is no palliative care and no Hospice. There is real suffering. Healthcare is patchy.

Bethlehem’s economy depends on tourists and pilgrims. For 2 years borders were shut. Bethlehem was locked down. Only 11% have any work. The economy is in tatters. There is real poverty and they simply do not have the resources to help themselves.

We are planning to commence with a Hospice at Home service and premises are being renovated to begin to commence that service.

Every £ donated will help relieve suffering and support families.

£25 will pay for a nurse’s transport for a week to support patients at home

£75 will employ a palliative care nurse for a day

£100 will provide self help courses for 25 families.

Walk a part of the way with us and help raise funds. Tell your friends and ask them to help and spread the word. We are working to relieve suffering of Bethlehem’s terminally ill and their families.
